This painting is of marshland grove that I saw for a split second while driving down Route 1-A in Rowley, Massachusetts, not far from Newburyport; where I lived until last year. I had the feeling that I needed to find it and capture it so I went back a little later in the evening as the shadows were getting longer, and the late evening summer light warmer, and thankfully managed to find it again.
